The Wailing Banshees

NEW - Now watch VIDEOS OF THE WAILING BANSHEES CONCERT on YouTube!

Welcome to The Wailing Banshee's website. The Wailing Banshees got together in January 2005 under the direction of Ellen Redman, principal piccolo and flute player with the Springfield Symphony. We play Thursday Evenings during the school year in Earle Hall on the lower level of Sage Hall at Smith College from 7 till 9. Whether you're a beginner or advanced player, or just like listening to or singing Irish tunes, feel free to join us. No auditions necessary.

INSTRUMENTS

Depending on who shows up for our Thursday nite sessions, we have a few fiddles, flutes and pennywhistles, a Bodhran, guitar, mandolin, button accordian, and bass. If you play these or any other traditional Irish instruments bring it along and Join Us. Here's a list and some music for some of our Basic Repertoire.
